The Diversified Financials Analyst

I’m Collin Cook, I am a former sell-side and buy-side equities analyst. I have focused on U.S. diversified financials (exchanges, online brokers, trading companies, etc.) throughout my career as an equities analyst and continue to follow the companies closely. I started this Substack as a way to share my thoughts on these companies with others who may be interested in following them closely.

As a subscriber you will receive an industry overview of major events in the space over the past week and things to look forward to in the week ahead every Sunday evening or Monday morning. Given the variable nature of news flow, it is difficult to predict a regular cadence for company specific updates. However, I plan to release monthly updates on volumes for the exchanges and fixed income trading platforms, monthly comparisons on key eBroker metrics, and earnings recaps for each company under coverage. Additionally, I plan to release industry specific deep dives and company specific deep dives as time allows. Further, there will occasionally be posts regarding private companies that compete with or are adjacent to the publicly traded companies that I typically discuss.
